Rembang, August 23, 2022 - 2022 Semen Gresik Innovation Convention (SGIC) V entered the final presentation round with a total of 27 best participants from each category after undergoing strict selection in the initial administration and paper submission phase. The final presentation was held in the Learning Center room of the Batu Kapur building of PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) Rembang Factory, August 22-25, 2022.

SGIC V 2022 is an annual event organized by PT Semen Gresik to attract new innovators and strengthen the company's innovation and continuous improvement culture.

Also present in the final presentation were three judges from top management representatives, Mochamad Syaiful, ST. (GM of Production & Maintenance), Fardhi Sjahrul Ade, S.Sos., MCM. (GM of Communication & Legal), and Ummi Shofiana, SE., MBA. (GM of HC & System Management).

Innovation Officer of PT Semen Gresik, Rachmad Solikin, revealed that the enthusiasm for innovation this year has increased sharply. It was proven by the increasing number of innovations collected, including the variety and quality of the innovative products. 

"Looking at the best-selected works, they were more diverse and of high quality than the previous years. This year, the works submitted from each unit in PTSG increased by 55% from last year," Rachmad Solikin explained in his press statement (8/23).

Rachmad Solikin continued that after the final presentation round, the event will enter the calculus stage from all judges and then to the awarding stage in September. The winner of SGIC V will later be included in the Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) Innovation Award 2022.

"We hope to be able to attract new innovators with quality works and have a positive impact on the company's environment and even to advance to the national level," said Rachmad Solikin.

Rachmad Solikin added that the primary goal of SGIC every year is to cultivate innovation as an employee work model on an ongoing basis in line with the company's roadmap.
